About the artist:
Kathleen Denis is intrigued by light and color, using oils to paint in an impressionistic style. She has had a lifelong venture in art, with lessons starting at the age of four, and graduating from University of Miami with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design. She began a career in commercial design with her images being licensed to many major manufacturers worldwide, on numerous home décor and gift products. After a successful commercial art career, she established an outreach program using her own scripture-based works to help those in need of hope in jails, youth detention centers and churches. Eventually she continued studying and painting fine art with her work being exhibited in numerous galleries, juried plein air events, and held in both public and private collections, including Hawaii 5-0, Magnum P.I. and Bloodline T.V. Series. She is member of several art societies and the recipient of many honors and awards, including being featured in national art magazines. Kathleen paints in her studio and “en plein air”, and with a passion for educating others, she teaches online and in person, being known as “a generous teacher”.
